Notes from Today's lecture

Today we discuss about how ethos, pathos and logos in the famous speech called, 'I have a dream' by Martin Luther King JR.

Ethos- the characteristic spirit of a culture, era, or community as manifested in its beliefs and aspirations.

Pathos- a quality that evokes pity or sadness.

Logos- statement, sentence, or argument used to convince or persuade the targeted audience by employing reason or logic

When MLK gives his speech he uses pathos when he was talking about the history of African Americans when they were slaves back in the colonial days since those were harsh days for African Americans.

The way he uses ethos is by using the word the racial word that starts with in 'n' this was a hateful word used by white people to called African Americans during colonial times

since MLK is a man of color he made the speech for colors equality.
When he talk about the death of African Americans you were able to hear people scream since they were affected. He used Pathos.
